Professional Learning Network (PLN)

This is a picture of two of my colleagues and I at the Smart Board workshop at Brock on September 27, 2014. We discussed the Smart Board technology, learned the basics of working with the program and discovered strategies that could be used in the classroom. The information was very helpful for me, as a future teacher, as the strategies that we discussed were practical and will help to inform my classroom. Even if a Smart Board is not in the classroom, the Smart Notebook program was a great way to organize lessons and provided many sample learning activities for future teachings.

I selected this workshop because I have not had the opportunity to work with the Smart Board technology. I also understand that interactive whiteboards are often seen in the 21st century classroom and I should be able to use them if I want to be successful. I wanted to ensure that I had the skills to work with this technology and use it in a beneficial way.
